After years of preparation, the Gallery Park Hotel is ready to open its doors to sophisticated guests.
The grand-looking Gallery Park Hotel is located in the city center next to picturesque Kalpaka Park, in a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage building originally constructed in 1875. Shortly before the opening we met Angela Blate, the hotel's director, who said that the interior of three floors is inspired by the Napoleon III style of design, with every item and art piece on display picked up from antique shops or auctions, creating an atmosphere that is definitely of the Old World.
If you prefer minimalism, however, and a highly aesthetic interior in combination with latest technologies, there are several rooms on the top floor with fantastic views of the city. There are 24 rooms in total, and no matter what you choose for your stay, all are perfectly spacious and equipped with the best a demanding traveler could expect, ranging in price from €250 for a superior room to €1650 for a night in the empire-style Imperial Suite.
On the first floor is an elegant French restaurant named Renommé and a wine bar, Gallery Vinoteka, offering an extensive wine list from the old and new worlds but with a special accent on French and Italian collection wines.
