Gulbis/Tursunov win Indianapolis Tennis Championships' doubles tournament

Latvia's Ernests Gulbis and Russia's Dmitry Tursunov won the 2009 Indianapolis Tennis Championships Doubles on Sunday

defeating the first-seeded Ashley Fisher and Jordan Kerr of Australia 6-4, 3-6, 11:9 in the final match informs Leta

Gulbis earned 250 ATP ranking points for the achievement. It is the second time that Gulbis wins an ATP doubles tennis tournament. As reported, Gulbis and his doubles partner Rainer Schuettler won the Houston ATP tennis tournament last year.

As already reported, Gulbis/Tursunov defeated American pair Eric Butorac/Scott Lipsky 6-3, 3-6, 11:9 in the first round of Indianapolis Tennis Championships, in the quarterfinals they beat American pair James Cerretani/Travis Rettenmaier 6-4, 4-6 10:8, and in the semifinals Gulbis/Tursunov defeated Sam Querrey (United States)/Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi (Pakistan) 1-6, 6-2, 10:8. In the singles tournament though, Gulbis was defeated by the seventh-seeded Marc Gicquel (France) 2-6, 3-6 in the first round.
