Number of new AH1N1 cases growing

124 new AH1N1 flu cases have been registered in Latvia since the beginning of this week.

The number of AH1N1 cases this week has already surpassed last week's number almost threefold, informs Latvian Infectious Diseases Center.

The total number of the confirmed AH1N1 flu cases in Latvia has increased to 213. Representative of the Infectious Diseases Center Ludmila Viksma informed that so far there have not been many patients with complications, however, the new type influenza is spreading at an alarming pace, much faster than seasonal flu, informs Leta.
