The ambiance and elegance of this restaurant goes with a bygone era which befits this historic dining establishment. As you gaze over one of the best wine lists in the Baltics, be sure to enjoy the great view of the park below.
At Otto Schwarz, be prepared to be spoilt for choice. This historic restaurant has stood the test of time, with a long-standing reputation to prove it.
The Christmas menu offers you a three course meal, and for starters, the white tomato mousse with pesto sauce and salads sounds fresh and intruiging. Or for something from the sea, there’s a tempting main of salmon and trout fried in strudel pastry with scallops, anise vegetables, bamboo sprouts and balsamico sauce. Or how about the fried veal saddle with Marcarpone cheese risotto and passion fruit chutney? Gingerbread parfait or warm chestnut cake with honey ice cream should round things off very nicely!
And while you’re enjoying your Christmas dinner, why not check out what’s planned for New Year’s Eve? Otto Schwarz and the Hotel de Rome are throwing a Viva la Cabaret! party, starting at 20:00. Promising a mixed mood of Latvian, French, German and American cabaret, including a jazz trio and cabaret dance group. You’ll also receive a welcome drink, indulge in renown chef Roberts Smilga’s special New Year’s menu at the restaurant, celebrate with champagne at midnight, and then dance the night away. Very generous accommodation discounts together with this package also apply, so you won’t have far to go once you’re ready to wind down the evening.
