The brand new restaurant Gardenia has opened its doors for guests of the Garden Palace Hotel and locals.
There’s a large dining hall in light tones with lustrous table settings and decorative elements such as elegant chandeliers, all surrounded by green plants.
On the menu you'll find mostly European cuisine with the more obvious touches coming from France and Italy, while the wine list consists of bottles from around the world.
Surprisingly, most of the items on the menu carried reasonable prices, and the quality was more than acceptable. For lovers of red meat we recommend the zesty beef fillet tartar (€7) as a delicious starter, followed by the juicy house special, beef steak Gardenia (€ 13.70).
There are some great options for seafood lovers too, the oven-baked pike perch spinach lasagna with white wine being a must. As a delicious grand finale, go for the chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream. Mmmmm. Delicious upmarket cuisine in the middle of the Old Town.
