Pandora
The global jewellery brand Pandora's first concept store in Riga, at the Domina Shopping center, offers personalized charm bracelets with a selection of exquisite hand-finished sterling silver and 14K gold charms.
Pandora, a Danish-based company, is well-known around the world for its extra-special jewellery, having already achieved success and acclaim in more than 55 countries on six continents.
The brand first entered the Latvian market with its island shop at the Spice mall. Now it has a sumptuous 67m2 concept store at Domina Shopping, where the much-loved Pandora Moments and Pandora Essence collections are represented at their fullest.
Pandora today is one of the world’s three largest jewellery brands at retail value working in genuine silver and gold. Launched 30 years ago in modest surroundings in Copenhagen by goldsmith Per Enevoldsen and his wife Winnie, who often travelled to Thailand in search of ideas, the focus gradually shifted towards wholesale. In-house designers joined the team, and in 1989 the company started manufacturing its jewellery in Thailand.
The company steadily built an international presence, and in 2000 Pandora’s charm bracelet concept was launched in the Danish market. Consumers embraced the idea and in the following years the company expanded internationally, entering new markets such as the United States in 2003 and Germany and Australia in 2004.
Pandora rapidly expanded its market presence and opened a large-scale, six-floor, fully-owned manufacturing facility in Thailand in 2005, which still forms a central part of production. Three further facilities have since been launched in the same area.
Today, Pandora offers women across the world a universe of high quality, hand-finished, modern and genuine jewellery products at affordable prices, inspiring women to express their individuality. All women have individual stories to tell – a personal collection of special moments that makes them who they are. These personal stories can be expressed in Pandora’s amazing jewellery.
Every woman has a story to tell, Pandora says. All women have their own stories to share, personalities to celebrate and special moments that make a difference to them. Women can now stand out from the crowd and express their own individuality by “designing” a bracelet with interchangeable charms that tell their story.
The bracelet, made of sterling silver or 14k gold, can be combined with any of hundreds of charms. The charms are in both silver and gold and feature a variety of gemstones, pearls, enamel and Murano glass. Whether you choose a simple heart, a gem, a zodiac sign, a teddy bear or another icon, the result is always distinctive, elegantly designed and telling a personal story.
The interchangeable bracelet concept has been carried through to the rest of the brand’s range in the form of matching jewellery – rings, earrings and necklaces with pendants in sterling silver and 14k and 18k solid gold combined with a wide selection of gemstones.
