Hermanis will be presented tomorrow, November 18, during a ceremony at the Riga City Council, informs Leta.

''The award's jury unanimously agreed that Hermanis is truly the city's person of the year 2009. I myself have seen few of his productions this year. As Riga mayor and Rigan myself, I am proud that such a talented person lives and works in our city. I would like to thank Alvis Hermanis that due to him, Riga's name has been heard throughout the world,'' Riga Mayor Nils Usakovs said.
Hermanis is currently busy working at the Vienna ''Burgtheater'', that is why the award will be presented to his parents tomorrow.
