They say that getting there is half the fun and the Riga “Retro Tram” helps this ring true.

A reconstructed tram car from the 19th century rolls passengers all the way to the wooded suburb in 25 minutes on the route “Way to Me┼żaparks”. This includes an audio guide of sights along the way and a booklet with illustrations and information in English, German, Latvian or Russian.

The tram leaves every day, except Mondays, from Radio iela at 10.00, 12.00, 14.00 and 16.00. It then returns to the center 37 minutes past the aforementioned times. Return trips cost between €4.40 and €5.80, single trips between €2.90 and €4.40. Kids under 7 travel free.
