In July 2008, the Latvian national airline airBaltic transported a total of 283,555 passengers, or 38% more than in July 2007, informed Janis Vanags, Corporate Communications Vice President at airBaltic. During the first seven months of this year, airBaltic carried 1,402,472 passengers or 31% more, compared with the respective period of time last year, when the number reached 1,071,662, informs LETA. Last month, airBaltic operated 4,623 flights, which is 37% more than in July 2007, when it performed 3,378 flights. The number of airBaltic flights, during the first seven months of this year, totaled 26,684 flight or 34% more than in the respective period of time in 2007.
